Great view and neighborhood, La Duree place where I would advice you to have your breakfast – it is better and cheaper than in the hotel. Pretty friendly desk clerks. OK if you want to have a piece of Parisian atmosphere more than a new and spotless hotel to stay at.
The hotel is a mess. Old and worn out.

Good enough for a seasoned traveler. Clean room, a bathroom with a shower and the place is very authentic. TERRIFIC VIEW. The staff is very attentive and charming. Very atmospheric hotel.
Not very posh, not renovated.

The hotel is being renovated. It’s my third staying there, and I must admit, the rooms, the hallways, the bathrooms are renovated and looked much better than they had done. The staff is the same friendly and charming. They serve good continental breakfast with great coffee in the hotel. No hotel can beat Du Quai Voltaire in terms of location, especially for those who are museum frequenters.
Internet is not free in the hotel and it is not very robust, no air conditioning in the hotel.

The views that you have in this hotel made the place. The hotel is warm, with good staff and room service (the sheets and towels were changed everyday). I don’t think you can get better views anywhere in Paris hotel. The location is great with a lot of fancy restaurants in the area. The place is good for those who are more after the ambiance of old Paris than after the comfort and luxury.
Everything is in urgent need of renovation. The bed was not very comfortable and it was quite noisy in the room.

The Quai Voltaire has oodles of charm. It is very bohemian. Rather eccentric, but friendly and helpful staff. We had a room that had fantastic view. The location is great – it is central and had a lot of nice bistros around. The hotel is not one of the sparkling but faceless chain hotels, but it certainly has the character.
It may seem a bit shabby and it is not bursting with amenities.
